How we handle data
Calculator data
The calculators run on your device. BeatTiming does not save your entries or taps in a user account. Links to shared settings keep those values in your browser. If you open an older link with settings after a question mark, those values reach the web host as part of the request before the link is redirected.
Accounts and uploads
You do not need an account to use BeatTiming. The site does not ask for access to your microphone or for audio-file uploads.
Technical records
The service that hosts this site may process web request data to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time of the request.
Analytics
BeatTiming uses Microsoft Clarity to learn how people use the site. Clarity provides usage counts, heatmaps and session recordings. It may collect clicks and other page actions, plus browser and device details. It may also use cookies. Read the Microsoft Privacy Statement for details.
If you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics measures visits, pages and basic tool actions. The Google tag loads only after you allow it. We do not send calculator entries as event data. Google Signals and advertising personalization are turned off.
You can allow or decline analytics at the bottom of a page, then change your choice through Analytics preferences. Turning it off stops new Google Analytics measurement and removes its site cookies. Your choice is saved in this browser.
Changes
If our privacy practices change in a material way, we will update this page and its date.
